STEPS Prosthetics, a specialist prosthetics and orthotics company based in Sheffield, has opened its first satellite outpatient clinic based at Neural Pathways in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.
STEPS Prosthetics already works in partnership with STEPS Rehabilitation to be only UK private prosthetics company to design, manufacture, fit and support amputee clients all within a dedicated residential rehabilitation setting. With clients attending the facility from across the UK, they saw an opportunity to expand their outpatient clinic services further North to enable them to better support clients closer to their home.
Neural Pathways is a multi-disciplinary neurological rehabilitation company providing services across the North East, Scotland and Midlands. They provide rehabilitation for people of all ages with complex needs, including amputation, and their experienced team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.
STEPS Prosthetics will be providing outpatient prosthetic and orthotic services from the Gateshead clinic, working alongside the Neural Pathways clinical team, to offer an interdisciplinary service and to relieve the pressure that travelling longer distances can have on clients.
