Peter Howard

Mr Peter Howard is a member of the National Joint Registry’s Steering Committee, an NHS England Committee of Experts which is responsible for the work and progress of the registry. He is the current chairman of both the Surgeon and Implant Performance Sub-committees. Peter is a practising orthopaedic surgeon based at Royal Derby Hospital with extensive experience in lower limb orthopaedics, particularly hip and knee replacement and including resurfacing and revision joint replacement. Peter was recently made President of the British Hip Society in March 2017. His research interests include improving the patient experience of joint replacement, improving the safety and longevity of joint replacements, and outcomes studies.
