Bob Chatterjee

Subhamoy Chatterjee (better known as Bob) is a consultant spine surgeon in London. Bob graduated from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital in 1995, and completed his SHO training rotation in Swindon and Oxford. His career interest is spine, in particular degenerative spine surgery and kyphoplasty, and minimally invasive discectomy.

Sam Anand
Consultant orthopaedic surgeon
Sam Anand works as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Horton Hospital and the Horton NHS Treatment Centre in Banbury. His special interests are the upper limb and trauma, especially sports-related injuries and joint replacements. He has made several international presentations and is on the review panel of international journals.

Satish Kale

Satish Kale is a surgical tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons and has authored several international presentations and publications. He has reviewed several orthopaedic and non-orthopaedic books for the magazine, providing insights into their strengths and weaknesses, as well as submitting technical articles on varying aspects of orthopaedics.

Asad Syed is an orthopaedic & trauma consultant at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, North Wales. He specialises in foot and ankle surgery and is actively involved in humanitarian work around the world.

Firas Arnaout

Ayaz Lakdawala

Ayaz Lakdawala is an orthopaedic surgeon in the Exeter Knee Reconstruction Unit based at Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with a particular interest in trauma and surgery of the knee. Ayaz has designed a website for the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme aimed at trainees preparing for exams.

Lennard Funk
Consultant shoulder surgeon
Lennard Funk works as part of a large multidisciplinary upper limb unit at Wrightington Hospital, where his interests include complex shoulder instability, athletic injuries, surface replacement arthroplasty and rotator cuff disease. Len routinely treats elite and professional athletes. He is honorary professor at the University of Salford, where he is the clinical lead for the postgraduate orthopaedic upper limb degrees as well as being involved in many research projects at the university. Alister Hart
MA MD FRCSG(Orth)
Alister Hart is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in hip and knee problems, and director of research at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in Stanmore, London. He holds the chair of academic clinical orthopaedics at University College London. Alister has performed more than 3000 operations including 1000 primary or revision hip and knee replacements. He is part of a multidisciplinary team that reviews 500 patients per year with complex joint replacement problems. The majority of his patients are referred with complex problems of the hip or knee.
