Seema Chavda has joined Genmed.me Limited as a Senior Account Manager to further expand the customer facing team.
Seema graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester with an honours degree in Biomedical Sciences. Choosing not to become state registered after her degree, she went to work in the pharmaceutical industry on short term contracts with 3M healthcare and Boots Healthcare International where she mastered many skills – the main one being HPLC and GC.
From there she joined the UK Human Tissue Bank based within De Montfort University where she was involved with dealing with non transplantable organs for research. Areas of focus included isolation of Liver Hepatocytes and the distribution of the isolated cells as well as other organs to research companies involved in drug development.
Seema decided to enter the commercial world and joined HORIBA Medical as Account Manager selling Diagnostic equipment to Pathology Laboratories, Universities and the Veterinary Market. She quickly moved on from account management to Office and Administration Manager in 2008 where she maintained her involvement in sales through the tendering process, becoming the central point of contact within the company where tenders were concerned. In addition she managed the day –to-day running of the office and headed up a small team finally being promoted to Administration Manager for Sales & Marketing where she was able to broaden her knowledge in the Marketing. Genmed’s CEO, Robin Modak, said “I am delighted to welcome Seema to our growing team and she will be able to use all the considerable skills and experience that she has gained in the last few years.”
