MuJo Multiple Joint Fitness Systems has created the world’s first range of fitness machines which allow users to perform controlled multi-axial exercises though all ranges of motion.
With research showing that exercises which reflect natural movements can improve performance and rehabilitation after injury or surgery, the equipment is expected to set new benchmarks in the orthopaedic health, elite sports and leisure industries.
MuJo has launched with an initial range of two stations (External Shoulder and Internal Shoulder) which will be followed by the unveiling of a further four lower limb stations covering glute, knee, groin and hamstring at FIBO in spring 2015.
Next year will also see MuJo introduce an innovative software solution that will allow the prescription of rehabilitation exercises and real-time tracking of progress by surgeons and physiotherapists, while connecting to existing secure Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to enable comparison of rehabilitation.
MuJo is already partnering with a number of Barclays Premiership football clubs and is also installing two units for trial at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
