26–27 January 2017 – Advanced Arthroscopic Knee, London
A hands-on cadaveric practical course to instruct a number of different operative treatments applied in orthopaedic sports surgery. The course in January 2017 will allow participants to obtain surgical skills by practicing arthroscopic techniques on unembalmed cadaveric knees.
This course would also provide a very relevant follow on from delegates who have completed the Basic Techniques in Arthroscopic Surgery course held at the Royal College of Surgeons.
By the end of the course participants will:
- have a clear understanding of the stages for each arthroscopic and other soft tissue knee procedures;
- be able to enhance skills on cadaveric material in arthroscopic ligament reconstruction and meniscus procedures;
- be able to enhance skills on cadaveric material in surgery in patella instability;
- have a clear understanding of the correct procedures for articular cartilage defects;
- be able to discuss and explain technical difficulties and complications during surgery
Observers would benefit from many of the same expected learning outcomes, and there would be maximum one observer per pair of full participants.
