Welcome message:
Welcome to BESS 2018, which will be held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow from 20-22 June 2018. This will be the 30th BESS scientific meeting and a return to Glasgow, the city that hosted the first BESS event! The local organising committee, Andrew Brooksbank, Paul Jenkins and Linda Mercer will be joined by their guest lecturer Mark Frankle, while BESS President, Peter Brownson will welcome Peter Millett as the Presidential guest speaker. A provisional programme will be made available soon.
The organising committee will also be hosting the second in our series of four instructional courses. The course will be held on the day preceding the start of the conference, 19 June 2018 and will focus on the management of trauma to the shoulder and elbow.
The SEC offers a spectacular riverside location and is an exciting modern venue with excellent transport links to the UK and beyond. There are over 800 hotel rooms on site along with plenty of local accommodation options to suit all requirements.
