The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) is pleased to announce that a new sales agency has been appointed to work on its membership magazines Surgeons’ News and SN Global.

Specialist publishing house Barker Brooks Communications is now dealing with all advertising and sponsorship arrangements for the two titles; and the RCSEd are hopeful that, with their specialist skills and industry contacts, Barker Brooks will deliver a new and exciting proposition for advertisers.

Barker Brooks already works closely with several prestigious membership bodies from the National Association of Pension Funds to the Nuclear Institute, and its medical division produces titles including Spinal Surgery News, The Journal of Anaesthesia Practice, Obs, Gynae and Midwifery News – and, in fact, Orthopaedic Product News itself!

“Barker Brooks’ background makes them ideal for this role,” commented RCSEd Marketing and Communications Officer Mark Baillie. “Surgeons’ News is known for its diverse and engaging content and our new relationship with Barker Brooks will develop our award-winning membership title as a more effective marketing channel for advertisers.”

“We’re looking forward to bringing our experience to bear on behalf of the RCSEd,” added Barker Brooks Chair Les Charneca. “This is a fantastic institution with a prestigious membership base, and I’m confident that we’ll be able to make a really positive contribution to its activities.”

Any company interested in developing a commercial relationship with the two titles should call Tom Grant at Barker Brooks on 0844 858 2890 or email
